About
2020 has put our perception up for a test. Time ran at lightspeed and lasted forever at the same time. We watched the summer pass by, turned our homes into offices and stopped hugging people that we love. Covering our faces became a gesture of respect; isolation an ultimate form of care. We accepted contradictions and changed our behaviour accordingly. With uncertainty as the new guiding principle of our actions, everything was subject to change. Routines, habits and other concepts structuring our lives before, melted in front of our eyes. What started off as a normal year has drifted into an almost psychedelic experience, absurd trip which has just peaked in a second lockdown.
After all of this we are now headed towards the holiday season – disoriented, emotionally drained and strangely exhausted. Now that everyday life seems to be unhinged the decision is up to us: do we want to pretend that everything is normal or make this holiday season truly special?! ChristmessMarket is embracing our new and distorted reality and invites you on a trip into a messy wonderland. Do you feel weird? We feel you. So please come in and let your eyes wander. Our market offers a variety of products and services we did not know we could provide and you did not know you needed. That – and the collective experience of 2020 – shall be the common ground for our interaction.
